Our Story

It all started one hot August day in 1994. The first CERV’s opened and the Snoball was revived! In the winter 1999, CERV’s was purchased from Verlin & Elaine Pfannenstiel. In 2002 CERV’s on Hall Street in Hays opened. Because opening a convenience store didn’t keep Russ busy enough, HydroCERV, a car wash soon came in the fall of 2002.

2006 – 2007 were busy years – a third and fourth location in Hays was opened and CERV’s began hauling their own Conoco fuel, and CERV’s still hauls its own fuel today.

In 2008, CERV’s expanded its footprint and opened two more locations – one is in Hoisington and one is in Great Bend. Bringing Snoball smiles to Barton County and Central Kansas!

The future continues to look bright for the CERV’s team. Striving to be a destination in West Central Kansas – something to see, do and tell your friends about. The CERV’s team expects the best while giving their best. Russ leads the team in doing the common things in an uncommon manner and accomplishing extraordinary feats by doing ordinary things with extraordinary consistency, commitment and focus. They strive for continuous improvement, and will leave a legacy.

So whether in your hometown or just passing through, come in and see what’s in store. Fill up!
